Welcome to Natural Fun Workshops
How might we build deeper curiosity in communities for nature and tech through making?
By making toys out of a blending of local, natural materials and technology, such as 3D-printing and simple pneumatics, we hope to engage the community in making as well as build curiosity in the natural world. Four unique pop-up workshops will be held at McClellan Ranch Preserve. We hope to show people that they can explore their local environment in an easy, fun, and unique way. We’ve enjoyed making simple things out of nature’s resources and wanted to see if we could incorporate 3D-printing with these playful and open-ended activities. Our workshops will provide an opportunity for people to explore natural materials and traditional crafts with a twist of technology.
